Bus plunges off bridge in Salyan, 14 injured, 4 critical

KATHMANDU: A bus accident occurred in Salyan.

Passenger bus No. RA 1 Kha 2085, which was going from Ghorahi to Rukum, met with an accident on the bridge of Bagchaur Municipality-2 Thinbang Khola around 11 am.

Reports from the District Police Office Salyan confirm that the bus plunged into the river below.

Efforts by police and locals are underway to rescue the injured passengers.

As per Navin Karki, DSP of the District Police Office Salyan, the bus, lost control and fell off the bridge on Wednesday.

Of the fourteen injured, four are in critical condition, added Karki.

All injured individuals have been rushed to the district hospital for immediate medical attention.
