KMC initiates free cancer screening from today

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has commenced free cancer screening camps in various wards, targeting breast, oral, and reproductive health issues.
The city has announced that these camps will be conducted throughout the month of Baisakh (April-May) at the Urban Health Centers.
The schedule for the camps is as follows: Ward No. 31, Bhimsengola on April 17 and 18; Ward No. 25 and 27, Indrachowk on April 19, April 21, and 22; Ward No. 3, Maharajgunj on May April 23 & 24; Ward No. 26, Lainchaur on April 26; Ward No. 20, Bhimsensthan on April 28; Ward No. 21, Yangal on April 29; Ward No. 23, Om Bahal on April 30; and Ward No. 15, Swayambhu on May 2 and 3.
Additionally, the camps will be held on May 5 at Ramghat Primary Health Center; May 6 at Ward No. 2, Lajimpat; May 6 at Ward No. 24, Makhan; May 7 at Ward No. 22, Tebahal; May 27th at Ward No. 18, Naradevi; May 28th at Ward No. 19, Kankeshwari; and May 30th and 31st at Ward No. 32, Palpa Kot (Chhapre), Koteshwor.
For women requiring additional tests beyond the camp’s scope, free examinations will be available at Civil Hospital, Minbhawan.
