KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against five individuals, including the former chief of the Social Development Office of Dolpa, Dhananjay Acharya, in a special court.
The case pertains to irregularities found in the allocation of funds received from the Karnali State government for the construction of sports grounds in Dunai Municipality-3 of Dolpa.
According to the spokesperson of the Commission, Narahari Ghimire, a claim equivalent to 993,940 rupees has been made against Dhananjay Acharya, former engineer Motiprasad Budha, Chair of the Consumer Committee Abhishek Shahi, Secretary Apaar Gurung, and Treasurer Bishwanath Shahi of the Social Development Office of Dolpa.
