APF detain individual with 23 kilograms of hashish-like substance
The recovery was made by the Armed Police Force at the Nepal Border Outpost (BOP) in Futaha, Bardiya.
KATHMANDU: In the early hours of Tuesday, around 3:45 am, authorities conducted a check on an individual behaving suspiciously in the border area of Futaha, located in Rural Municipality-2 of Badhaiyatal, Bardiya district.
Upon inspection, they discovered around 23 kilograms of what appeared to be narcotic marijuana, packed in 39 plastic-wrapped packets, inside two bags in his possession.
The recovery was made by the Armed Police Force at the Nepal Border Outpost (BOP) in Futaha, Bardiya.
A person identified as Bam Bahadur Pun, aged 34, a permanent resident of Sanobheri Rural Municipality-5 in Rukum West district, was apprehended while attempting to cross from Nepal to India with the aforementioned substance.
Further investigation is underway, and Pun, along with the seized items, has been handed over to the relevant authorities for additional scrutiny.
