Headmaster resigns after entire class 8 students failed

KATHMANDU: The principal of a school in Baitadi has resigned after the results of class 8 were nil.

Prakash Luhar, the headmaster of Shiddeshwar Secondary, Melchora, Patan Municipality-1 of the district, has resigned.

According to school sources, the resignation of Luhar, who submitted his resignation to the chair of the school management committee, Hikmat Sinharawal, was accepted on Sunday itself.

In the city level examination, the results have come in class 8, while only 22 out of 127 people have passed in the ward level examination except for class 1 to 9.

Luhar, a teacher, said that he resigned from the principalship after the results were lower than those of the school taught by city teachers and volunteer teachers.
