Weather: Partly cloudy skies with potential rain & thunder in hilly regions
Some parts of the hilly regions in Gandaki State are presently witnessing light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has issued a report indicating that Nepal’s current weather patterns are being influenced by both westerly and local winds.
In the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki States, the weather ranges from partly cloudy to mostly clear, as observed by the Division.
Some parts of the hilly regions in Gandaki State are presently witnessing light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Throughout the afternoon, the weather is anticipated to stay predominantly clear in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.
Conversely, cloudy conditions are expected in the remaining States.
There’s a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in specific areas of the hilly regions within Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali States, with potential scattered occurrences in other hilly areas.
By late afternoon, storms may develop in certain areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Moreover, isolated instances of light snowfall are likely in a few locations within high hills and Himalayan regions.
As night falls, the forecast suggests partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
A few spots in the hilly areas of Karnali State might encounter light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, while light snowfall is expected in one or two locations within the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali States.
