KATHMANDU: Painting Exhibition-2081 titled ‘Himalaya’s Secrets and Creativity’ has started in Kathmandu.
The Nepal Lalitkala Pragya Pratisthan has organized an art exhibition named ‘Himalayan Secrets and Creativity’ in Kathmandu.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the Pratisthan, Naradmani Hartamchhali, during a ceremony held on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, President Hartamchhali highlighted the environmental impact and challenges faced in the Himalayas, aiming to raise awareness among the global community.
The exhibition seeks to inform the world about the crisis unfolding in the Himalayas and uplift the living standards of artists by showcasing their work.
He expressed confidence that the exhibition would also provide policymakers with concrete ideas for resolving Himalayan issues and called for support from stakeholders in this endeavor.
President Hartamchhali stated, “One Himalaya is of physical essence, while the other is symbolic. We have sought to engage in specific discussions on environmental issues arising in the Himalayas. Therefore, it is imperative to perceive this artwork in the same context. This exhibition aims not only to establish the artistry of the artists but also to raise awareness about the state of the Himalayas at the global environmental and policy levels. This is not just linked with Nepal alone but also interconnected with the global human environment. Understanding this underlying objective is crucial.”
According to the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Pragya Pratishthan, 69 paintings related to the mystery of the mountains and 14 related to creativity are included in the painting exhibition that will last for 6 days.
