Vandalism reported at NIC Asia Bank in Mugu
A lone individual was captured on the bank's CCTV camera forcibly breaking the main door of the bank and entering inside.
KATHMANDU: An act of vandalism occurred at the branch office of NIC Asia Bank located in Mugu, as reported on Saturday night at 9:21 PM.
A lone individual was captured on the bank’s CCTV camera forcibly breaking the main door of the bank and entering inside.
The individual was seen wearing a security guard’s uniform and carrying a rifle, as confirmed by the police.
It was noted that only one security guard was present at the bank during the incident, as it was past 8:00 PM and the duty had ended.
The unknown individual was observed entering the bank premises after forcibly breaking the main door.
According to the police, the individual appeared mentally unstable, resembling a young person wandering in the market.
The police are currently conducting a search operation to locate the individual.
No other damages apart from the broken door and the attempted robbery were reported by the police.
