OTTAWA: Air Canada cancelled Saturday’s flight from Toronto to Tel Aviv after it resumed the service a few days ago.

The flight AC 80 was originally scheduled to depart Pearson International Airport at 4:25 p.m. Air Canada said on the website that it was cancelled “because of government or regulatory restrictions outside our control.”

Government or regulatory restrictions can happen when there are changes to entry requirements, customs processes, health and safety measures, or other local political situations, the airline added.

The Montreal-based Air Canada, like most other international carriers, suspended service to Ben Gurion International Airport on Oct. 8 after the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas.

The flights between Toronto and Tel Aviv resumed on April 9.
