Police assistant constable killed as motorcycle collides with cow
Reportedly, he collided with a cow while riding the motorcycle.
KATHMANDU: Apolice assistant constable succumbed to injuries following a motorcycle accident in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi. Suresh Bahadur Chand, aged 36, a resident of Bhimdatta Municipality-6, Kanchanpur, lost his life in the unfortunate incident.
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Rupandehi Police, Laxmi Khanal, Chand met with the accident while on duty at the Area Police Office, Matihani, under the Rupandehi District Police Office.
Chand was riding a motorcycle around 8 PM on Friday when the accident occurred.
Reportedly, Chand collided with a cow while riding the motorcycle.
Another police constable, 30-year-old Top Bahadur Basnet, who was a pillion, also sustained injuries in the accident.
Basnet is currently receiving treatment, and his condition is reported to be stable.
