Weather: Rain in four States, including Bagmati

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has indicated a partial influence of westerly and local winds across Nepal.

According to their forecasts, the hilly regions of the country, encompassing Koshi, Bagmati, and Madhesh States, can expect varying degrees of cloud cover, while other areas will likely remain clear.

This afternoon, the Division anticipates partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions in hilly areas.

There’s a chance of sporadic light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the hilly zones of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali regions, as well as isolated occurrences in other hilly regions.

Some areas in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Bagmati States may experience light snowfall, with a possibility of the same in a few spots in other high hill and Himalayan areas.

Nighttime forecasts suggest mostly clear skies in the hilly regions of Gandaki and Karnali States, including Sudurpaschim Province, while elsewhere skies are expected to be mostly clear.

During the night, there’s a slight chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places within the hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali States.

Additionally, the Division mentions the potential for light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hills and Himalayan regions of Gandaki and Karnali States.
