KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Jokh Bahadur Mahara has received the vote of confidence.

Chief Minister Mahara has got the votes of 48 MPs of the state assembly.

48 State Assembly members have given confidence to Mahara, including 29 from UML, 10 from Maoist, 4 from Nagarik Unmukti Party, 3 from JSP, 1 from Unified Socialist Party and 1 independent MP.

28 votes were cast against Chief Minister Mahara.

While the opposition comprised 27 members from the Nepali Congress and one from Rastriya Janamorcha.

RPP 4 and LSP 3 MPs did not participate in the meeting.
