KATHMANDU: Due to adverse weather conditions, the country’s air travel has been affected.
Subash Jha, spokesperson for Tribhuvan International Airport, informed that both domestic and international flights have been impacted due to the strong crosswinds occurring in the afternoon.
According to him, some domestic flights have been diverted while some international flights are on hold to avoid flying in turbulent conditions
Flights bound for Kathmandu from Nepalgunj were diverted, and flights from Simara to Kathmandu by the same company were also diverted.
Similarly, a Buddha Air flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu had to return to its origin, and a flight of Yeti Airlines bound for Pokhara from Kathmandu has returned to Kathmandu.
