One held for murdering grandmother

KATHMANDU: Last night, police arrested 30-year-old Ajay Kumar Pandey, a resident of Bindabasini Rural Municipality-5 Haswa Tole, on the charge of murdering his own grandmother, 80-year-old Savarjia Devi Pandey.

As soon as the news was received that Savarjia Devi, who was seriously injured when Ajay beat her due to a land dispute, died during treatment at Pokhariya Hospital, the police stationed at Prasauni Bhata police station and the local police office Pokhriya arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
