Light rain sweeps across hilly regions including Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, along with Kathmandu Valley, are experiencing light rain today.

Weather forecasters anticipate this light rainfall to persist until evening in these areas, encompassing valleys as well.

Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini from the weather forecast department reports that light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring sporadically in various spots within the aforementioned regions, with similar conditions expected in one or two locations throughout other hilly areas.

Pudasaini further notes a possibility of storms in certain hilly areas. Currently, Nepal is under the partial influence of western and local winds.
