One dies, one wounded in bus hit
A 23-year-old Saugat Oli of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-17 died when the night bus Na 6 Kha 1486, which was going from Tulsipur to Kathmandu, hit the motorcycle Lu 41 Pa 8092.
KATHMANDU: A motorcycle rider lost his life in a collision with a bus that was travelling to Kathmandu.
A 23-year-old Saugat Oli of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-17 died when the night bus Na 6 Kha 1486, which was going from Tulsipur to Kathmandu, hit the motorcycle Lu 41 Pa 8092.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Janak Bahadur Mallik, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Dang, the incident took place near Sisnekhola, Ghorahi-17, around 8:45 PM.
Oli, critically injured in the collision, was rushed to Rapti Health Science Institute in Ghorahi for treatment but succumbed to his injuries during the course of medical care.
The passenger riding pillion on the motorcycle, identified as Sharad Lamichhane, 35, from Belganar-11, Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries in Ghorahi.
The police have taken control of the bus driver and are conducting further investigations into the accident.
