Father dies from son’s assault

KATHMANDU: A father has died due to the beating of his son in Gairigaun, Panchkhapan Municipality-2 of Sankhuwasabha.

Police Inspector Ashok Jabegu of the District Police Office informed that the 50-year-old father Yuvaraj Rai died due to the beating of his 28-year-old son Suman Rai.

Suman beat his father last night during a family argument.

Yuvaraj, 50, died at the district hospital this morning while being treated for serious injuries sustained during the beating, according to police.

Rai, who participated in the assault, has been held by police, and an investigation has begun, according to the district police office.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the district hospital for post-mortem.
