Weather: Light rainfall & thunderstorms expected in some regions, caution advised
In some areas of the hilly regions of Gandaki State, light rainfall has been occurring along with thunderstorms.
KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Nepal is experiencing the influence of both western and local winds.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there have been partial to general changes in the weather in the hilly regions of the country, with the weather remaining mostly clear in other parts.
In some areas of the hilly regions of Gandaki State, light rainfall has been occurring along with thunderstorms.
Partial changes have been observed in the weather from partial to general in the western and other hilly regions, with a possibility of light rainfall in some places, including thunderstorms in a few areas, including some parts of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.
In the eastern hilly regions, there have been partial to general changes in the weather during the day and partial changes in the weather in other regions, with the weather remaining mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rainfall along with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali States. In some parts of the high hilly and Himalayan regions, there is a possibility of light snowfall.
In some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as in some other hilly regions, there is a possibility of light rainfall along with thunderstorms.
In a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions, there is a possibility of light snowfall. Moreover, in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States, there is a possibility of strong winds.
Therefore, the Meteorological Department has urged people to remain cautious as there could be partial impacts on daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transportation in these regions.
