As they kickstart the distribution of Everest Rice, Basnet highlighted that this rice is exclusively procured from Nepali farmers, ensuring consumers receive locally grown rice.
He also emphasized the competitive pricing of this rice compared to imported varieties, with the length of the grains measuring 17.46 millimeters.
Over the past few years, Arju Rice Mill has collaborated with four thousands of farmers across Morang, Sunsari, and Jhapa districts, setting a trend of providing fair support prices for their produce.
Chair Basnet said that the mill used to purchase paddy above the minimum support price for local farmers before planting paddy.
Moreover, Arju Rice Mill has pledged to pay farmers within two days through online banking upon receiving their rice.
