Incidents in Ramechhap: Teen drowns in Likhu River, another found dead on Sera Khola

KATHMANDU: A somber atmosphere enveloped Ramechhap Municipality-4 Himganga as 17-year-old Bhim Bahadur Shrestha tragically lost his life on Thursday afternoon.

The teen was swimming in the Likhu river when he encountered difficulty and drowned.

In a separate but equally distressing incident, a 47-year-old Lalit Bahadur Khatri, hailing from Ramechhap Municipality-2 Deurali, was discovered deceased on Sera Khola road in Besidanda on the same Thursday.

The circumstances leading to Khatri’s demise remain unclear, prompting authorities to launch investigations to ascertain the cause of his death.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in both incidents.
