One dies, 1 injured in road accident in Biratnagar

KATHMANDU: A 35-year-old Amirka Kumari Kurmi, resident of the Biratnagar Metropolitan City-14, died on Thursday afternoon when a container vehicle with Indian number HR 38 Y 5490 hit a motorcycle numbered Ko 15 Pa 7627 on the road at Mahendra Chowk, Biratnagar Metropolitan City-9.

She was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Biratnagar Neuro Hospital.

She was a pillion rider.

Also, the motorcyclist who was injured in the accident is being treated at the same hospital.

The police have arrested the container driver and are conducting necessary investigations regarding the accident.
