Teen jumps from 5th floor in Charikot
The Dolakha District Police Office has launched a preliminary investigation to determine whether the incident was a suicide attempt or if other factors were involved.
KATHMANDU: A tragic incident unfolded at Tsho Rolpa Nursing College in Charikot, Dolakha, where a 19-year-old first-year nursing student, Karuna Adhikari, suffered serious injuries after jumping from the fifth floor of the hostel.
The Dolakha District Police Office has launched a preliminary investigation to determine whether the incident was a suicide attempt or if other factors were involved.
Prithvi Bahadur Shrestha, the college’s proprietor, informed the media that Karuna, who hails from Pokhara, had returned home to Charikot on Wednesday.
Sadly, the day after her return, she leapt from the fifth floor of the hostel.
Due to the severity of her injuries, Karuna has been transferred to Kathmandu for medical treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain undisclosed, and authorities are yet to confirm whether it was indeed a suicide attempt.
