Explosion reported at TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: An explosion occurred at Trivi Teaching Hospital (Teaching Hospital) situated in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

Reports indicate that a loud explosion was heard emanating from within one of the hospital buildings.

Initial speculation suggests that the explosion may have been caused by a burst air conditioner (AC) pipe within the Cardiac Center building.

The police have confirmed that they are currently investigating the incident further.
