Husband murders wife in Jhapa

KATHMANDU: A youth has killed his wife in Jhapa.

A 33-year-old man named Devnarayan Rajbanshi from Bahradashi Rural Municipality-1 allegedly killed his wife, 33-year-old Mamsari Rajbanshi, with a machete on Thursday morning.

According to the District Police Office Jhapa, Rajbanshi was apprehended along with the machete following the incident.

Rajbanshi, who was employed abroad in Oman, had returned home on leave just four days prior to the incident.

Reportedly, Rajbanshi attacked his wife with the machete during a dispute over her relationship with another individual.

Deceased Mamsari was involved in the teaching profession in Divyajyoti Secondary School, Rajgadh.

The police have proceeded with the investigation into the incident.
