Four dead, including school children, in North India bus overturning accident

KATHMANDU: According to a local police officer, accident in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday when a bus carrying schoolchildren overturned, resulting in the deaths of three children aged between 12 and 14, along with one additional individual.
The bus cleaner was among those who tragically lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries.
The accident took place in the Barabanki area, near the state capital of Lucknow.
The schoolchildren were returning from a local picnic, having visited a zoological park in Lucknow.
Senior police officer Jagat Ram reported that the bus was carrying approximately 40 school students and six teachers at the time of the incident.
This devastating event has cast a pall of sorrow over the community, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and safety measures on the roads.
