KATHMANDU: Nepal emerged victorious against Baroda in their second match of the friendly T20 cricket tournament held in Gujarat, India.

In Tuesday’s game, Nepal defeated Baroda by 27 runs.

Batting first in the scheduled 20 overs, Nepal managed to score 156 runs while losing 6 wickets.

Chasing a target of 157 runs, Baroda lost all their wickets, scoring only 129 runs.

In the batting department for Nepal, Kushal Malla played skillfully and scored an unbeaten 40 runs, including three fours and two sixes. Similarly, Sandeep Jora contributed 29 runs, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel scored 18, and Gulshan Kumar Thakur made 13 runs.

On the bowling side, Nepal’s Karan KC took three wickets, while Sompal Kami and Abinash Bohara each took two wickets. Gulshan Kumar Jha and Dipendra Singh Airee grabbed one wicket each.

For Baroda, Bhannu Paniyal top-scored with 36 runs, followed by Baba Khan with 27 runs and captain Vishnu Solanki with 25 runs.

Nepal will play their third match against Gujarat on Wednesday (today) at 2:45 PM.
