Elderly woman dies in bus hit
District Police Office Dolakha said that she died on the spot.
KATHMANDU: Netarni Lama, a 74-year-old woman from Bigu Rural Municipality-3 Bulung, died in a bus collision.
As per the police report, the bus registered under Rollwaling Transport with the number plate BA3K 6374, traveling from Kathmandu to Bulung in Bigu, was involved in the collision with an elderly woman.
District Police Office Dolakha said that she died on the spot.
Jeevan Shrestha, Police Spokesperson and Police Inspector of District Police Office Dolakha, informed that Lama who was returning home from Fistedhunga of B\igu Rural Municipality-4 was hit by a bus.
According to him, the driver, 26-year-old Narayan Budhathoki of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-4, has been arrested and kept in the custody of the local police office.
The police said that the incident is being investigated.
