Man who forced a 13-year-old girl into prostitution held
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Nabinkumar Magar from Udayapur, was arrested by the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police.
KATHMANDU: Police have apprehended the operator of a brothel house named “Lafa” located in Balaju, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, for allegedly trafficking a 13-year-old girl into prostitution.
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Nabinkumar Magar from Udayapur, was arrested by the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal, the bureau revealed that Magar had been luring minor into prostitution since the month of Falgun (February-March) using fear and temptation. “In a state of fear at the brothel house, we rescued the girls and arrested Magar,” he stated.
Magar, who was arrested on charges of human trafficking and exploitation, has been remanded into custody for further investigation for an additional five days by the Kathmandu District Court.
