Two held in Sarlahi with Rs 2.77 million

KATHMANDU: Sarlahi District Police Office has apprehended two individuals from Malangawa Bazaar, bringing them under control.

According to Chief Superintendent of Police and SP Dayanidhi Gyawali of the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the arrest was made with a total of NPR 2,775,670 in cash.

The apprehended individuals are identified as 24-year-old Kamar Raja and 40-year-old Aarif Ansari.

As per police sources, Ansari has been allegedly involved in human trafficking and illegal gold trading.

The police have opened an investigation against them under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, for further inquiry.
