KATHMANDU: The premises of Singha Durbar witnessed a rare sight today as the families of Nepalese individuals serving in the Russian army gathered for a demonstration.
The protest, marked by emotive speeches and placards, drew attention to the plight of their loved ones stationed abroad.
They protested in front of the south gate of Singha Darbar in the morning with demands such as the rescue of those in the Russian army, the return of the dead bodies and the disclosure of the status of the missing.

The police arrested 15 people, including Kritu Bhandari, an activist of the awareness campaign to protect the lives of civilians in the Russian army.
