KATHMANDU: An agreement has been reached between Multi-purpose Finance and FonePay Network on March 28, spanning cross-border financial and network services.

The agreement, facilitated by Deputy General Manager Pradeep Kumar Singh from the finance end and head of state Pashupati Mishra from FonePay Network, kickstarts cross-border commercial transactions.
In the initial phase of this service, service recipients availing QR payment services through financial institutions can now conduct business with enterprises.
Presently, this service is facilitated through the Indian UPI system, including BHIM and FonePay apps.
As per Deputy General Manager Pradeep Kumar Singh, these services will soon be extended to Nepal through the FonePay QR of Multi-purpose Finance Limited.
