Child dies of lightning strike

KATHMANDU: A 12-year-old Sarmila Kadel, daughter of Chandra Bahadur Kadel, resident of Bhairabi Rural Municipality-6 Torimul, Dailekh, died on Saturday afternoon after being struck by lightning.

The individual who sustained serious injuries after being hit by a sudden lightning strike while inside her home has tragically passed away while undergoing further treatment at Dullu Hospital in Karnali State, Surkhet.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
