Elderly woman dies in bike hit

KATHMANDU: A woman has died after being injured in a motorcycle collision in Kathmandu.

70-year-old Lakshmi Tamang, a native of Dhading and currently living in Kalimati, who was seriously injured when she was hit by a motorcycle number Ba 85 P 7167 at Soltimode at 8:30 am on Saturday morning, died during treatment.

Police said that she died at 11.30 last night during treatment at the trauma center.

Tamang, who was walking, was hit by a motorcycle.

The police have detained the motorcyclist and are investigating.
