19-year-old youth dies as tree falls in Tanahun
A 19-year-old boy of Tansen Municipality-5 Kailasnagar died after being crushed by a tree.
KATHMANDU: A boy riding a scooter died when he was crushed by a tree felled by the wind in Palpa’s Tansen.
A 19-year-old boy of Tansen Municipality-5 Kailasnagar died after being crushed by a tree.
The incident occurred near the Jarepipal area along the Siddhartha Highway in Tanahun Municipality-5, Kailashnagar.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sugandha Shrestha, on Saturday evening, when the tree fell due to strong winds and struck, the rider of scooter LU 81 PA 1136, identified as Bhuwan Darlami, met with a fatal accident.
Darlami was heading towards Butwal from Palpa on his scooter when he encountered the strong windstorm. In the midst of trying to stop the scooter, he was crushed by the falling tree.
Additionally, another scooter numbered Ga 10 Pa 5721 and a motorcycle were also crushed by the falling tree.
Three other passengers sustained minor injuries in the incident.
