KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has issued a warning regarding the current weather conditions in Nepal, influenced by westerly winds, local winds, and cyclonic structures originating from India’s Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
This afternoon, the forecast suggests clear skies over hilly regions, with the rest of the country experiencing partly to mostly cloudy conditions. Some hilly areas may witness rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, while select highlands and Himalayan areas might experience light snowfall.
As night falls, the hilly regions are expected to remain mostly clear, while other areas may experience partial cloud cover. However, light snowfall could still occur in certain high hilly and Himalayan regions.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions due to the anticipated light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and lightning, especially in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as isolated areas across the country.
These weather conditions may partially disrupt daily activities such as agriculture, health services, tourism, mountain climbing, and transportation via road and air.
