Doctor Pratibha, returned home from hospital, found dead

KATHMANDU: Doctor Pratibha Dhaubdel, a surgeon working in District Hospital Dhading, was found dead at her home.

A 34-year-old Dr. Dhaubhadel was found dead in the bathroom of Chhauni in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13.

Reportedly, Dr. Dhaubadel was taken to Birendra Military Hospital in Chhauni after being discovered in bathroom.

However, medical professionals pronounced her deceased upon reaching, as confirmed by SP Adhikari.

According to her husband statement, she was found hanged in a shawl in the bathroom. Although efforts were made to transport her to the hospital, she could not be revived.

Dr. Dhaubdel was renowned for her contributions to the medical field, having obtained her MD in General Surgery from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) and practicing at Bir Hospital.

She pursued her MBBS from the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur after completing her schooling at Rato Bangla School.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dhaubdel had achieved exceptional academic accolades, earning recognition both nationally and internationally.

Despite her achievements, authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise, despite claims of suicide.
