15KGs of contraband seized at TIA

KATHMANDU: Authorities seized approximately 15 kilograms of a substance resembling illegal drugs from a cargo shipment at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Tuesday afternoon.

During the checks of the customs office, the police found and recovered the amount of substance hidden inside 18 photo frames of the ARA MEX COURIER, which was going to London via Doha via Qatar Air.

During the cargo check, authorities discovered 18 photo frames containing the concealed substance.

The confiscated material, suspected to be illicit drugs, has been forwarded to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation and analysis.
