Lunar eclipse to coincide with holi for the first time in a century, auspicious for three zodiac signs

KATHMANDU: The first lunar eclipse of the year, occurring on the full moon day of Falgun 12, i.e., March 25, is approaching. However, this lunar eclipse won’t be visible in Nepal and India, among other regions.

This year’s lunar eclipse coincides with Holi after a gap of a hundred years.

The eclipse will commence at 10:23 AM and conclude at 03:02 PM local time.

As it won’t be visible in Nepal and India, the duration of its inauspicious phase won’t be observed there either.

Countries such as Ireland, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Southern Norway, Switzerland, North and South America, Japan, the eastern part of Russia, and most parts of Africa will witness the lunar eclipse.

Lunar eclipses are believed to intensify negative energies, according to astrology, necessitating maximum prayers and virtuous deeds on the day of the eclipse.

Therefore, Holi won’t be celebrated in the Terai region of Nepal on this day.

Lunar eclipse days are considered inauspicious in scriptures due to the heightened negative energies.
