KATHMANDU: Two people died in a gang fight in Lalitpur’s Dholahiti.
A clash between two groups in Dholahiti, Lalitpur, has resulted in the loss of two lives.
The clash erupted last night amidst the festivities of Holi, as tensions flared between the opposing factions.
The deceased have been identified as Robas Rai, 28, of Dharan, currently residing in Dholahiti and Pujan Rai, 30, of Panchthar district and is residing in Khumaltar.
“The police were informed about the incident after the injured were taken to Patan Hospital at 11.00 pm. Some people rrested on the spot are being interrogated. The cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained,” he said.
Both resided in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-26, Dholahiti.
According to reports, the victims suffered fatal stab wounds during the clash. They were stabbed in the body.
SP Naresh Raj Subedi of the Lalitpur District Police Complex has confirmed the apprehension of multiple suspects associated with the incident.
The bodies have been kept at Patan and Sumeru hospitals, spokesperson Subedi shared.
Investigations into the matter are currently underway.
