KATHMANDU: The discovery of a man’s body near Chhauri Khola in Udayapur Municipality-5 has prompted an investigation by local authorities.
According to the police, the body of a man whose name, surname and nationality have not been disclosed was found near the Chauri river in Bhulke.
According to Subash Rai, the Chief of the Area Police Office in Katari, the body was discovered with the lower part submerged in the river and the upper part exposed on the riverbank.
The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Katari Police Office.
Local residents, upon spotting the body, immediately informed the authorities.
Katari Police Office, under the leadership of Inspector Umesh Mahato, initiated a preliminary investigation at the scene.
The body has been sent to the Katari Hospital for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
The circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body remain unclear, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
The identity of the deceased and the cause of death are yet to be determined pending further investigation and examination.
