KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated a possibility of light snowfall in the Himalayan and high mountainous regions today.

The meteorological department has reported the likelihood of occasional cloud cover and scattered rainfall, including snowfall, in some areas of the high mountainous and Himalayan regions.

The impact of the Western low-pressure system and the neighboring Indian Bihar system is currently affecting Nepal, resulting in ongoing weather changes.

Some changes have been observed from partial to generally clear skies in various parts of the country.

The Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States have seen light to moderate rainfall, according to the department.

Temperatures in Kathmandu have been recorded at 15 degrees Celsius today, with visibility extending up to four kilometers.

The minimum temperature for today is forecasted to be around 11.7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 21 to 23 degrees Celsius, as reported by the meteorological department.

Additionally, tonight, some areas of the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki States are likely to experience partial to generally clear skies, while other hilly regions may see scattered rainfall.
