Nepal ranks 93rd in World Happiness Report 2024
Finland maintains top position for seventh consecutive year.
KATHMANDU: According to the latest World Happiness Report 2024, Nepal has secured the 93rd position among 143 countries in the global happiness index.
Finland continues its reign at the top spot for the seventh consecutive year, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Australia rounding up the top ten.
In the under-30 age group happiness ranking, Nepal stands at the 92nd position.
The report, compiled by Gallup, the University of Oxford, the Wellbeing Research Center, the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and the WHRs Editorial Board, primarily assesses life satisfaction based on respondents’ ratings of their lifestyle on a scale of 0 to 10.
The report sheds light on global happiness trends and is instrumental in understanding factors contributing to overall well-being worldwide.
