Murder in Belbari: Wife killed, husband also dies

KATHMANDU: Following the murder of Geeta Limbu in Belbari, there was another grim turn of events as Bam Bahadur took his own life.
Initial investigations conducted by the Morang police revealed that a domestic dispute led to Bahadur fatally assaulting Limbu with a deadly weapon.
Shortly after Mrs. Limbu’s demise, it was observed that Mr. Bahadur also resorted to self-harm using the same weapon, as reported by Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjan Kumar Dahal, the spokesperson for the Morang Police.
According to police, around 1 hour and 50 minutes after Limbu’s murder, husband Bahadur cut his teck.
Authorities confirmed that Limbu succumbed to her injuries at the scene, following the fatal attack by Bahadur.
Moreover, it was noted that Bahadur was found in a critical state, indicating an attempted suicide with the same weapon.
Both individuals were rushed to Nobel Medical College for urgent medical attention. Regrettably, upon reaching, medical personnel pronounced dead.
Their 8-year-old son escaped and survived.
Currently, a dedicated investigative team, led by the Inspector of Police of Belbari Police Office, is diligently working to uncover the details surrounding this tragic incident.
