Mastermind of teacher’s murder held 16 years later
Identified as Savita Thapa (Adhikari), 41 of Dadhing Budathum Rural Municipality-3, formerly from Ganga Jamuna Rural Municipality-7, who was residing in Lalitpur-26 was arrested.
KATHMANDU: The police arrested the mastermind behind Dharmaraj Bista’s murder 16 years ago and released it to the public.
On Ashadh 26, 2064 BS, 33-year-old Dharmaraj Bista of Lalitpur Imadol, Shankhamul, Lalitpur Municipality-22 was murdered.
The planner of the same incident has been arrested today, 16 years later.
Identified as Savita Thapa (Adhikari), 41 of Dadhing Budathum Rural Municipality-3, formerly from Ganga Jamuna Rural Municipality-7, who was residing in Lalitpur-26 was arrested.
Dharmaraj Bista was a teacher at Min Bhawan Campus and was well-known in the community, as reported by the police.
The police revealed that Bista repeatedly harassed Binod Thapa, his brother, and upon learning about his sister’s issues, Binod informed his friends about it, and they planned the murder.
Both are undergoing legal proceedings, according to the law enforcement agency.
