KATHMANDU: Police in Sarlahi have opened fire on a group of dacoits, apprehending two of them after firing shots around 9:30 PM last night in Barahathawa.

According to Sarlahi Police, Raut sustained gunshot wounds to his right shoulder.

He is currently receiving treatment in stable condition at the regional hospital in Malangwa.

Another individual, traveling with Raut on a motorcycle, has also been detained.

The police have reported a dozen cases against the suspects, including charges of abduction and physical assault.
