Gold smuggling case: Court orders to release Gurung on bail

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered that Jeevan Gurung, who was detained for investigation in the gold smuggling case, be freed on bail.

District Court Information Officer Chandra Prasad Panthi stated that the bench of District Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari ordered Gurung’s release on 1.5 million bail today.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) detained Gurung on Falgun 14 (Feb 26).
