Teen dies of drowning while bathing in the canal
An 18-year-old Ambiraj Rai, resident of Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-1, Bhojpur, who drowned while bathing in Chatara-Khanar canal at Dhokapul, Itahari-8, was found dead.
KATHMANDU: A young man who drowned while bathing in the canal and went missing has been found dead.
An 18-year-old Ambiraj Rai, resident of Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality-1, Bhojpur, who drowned while bathing in Chatara-Khanar canal at Dhokapul, Itahari-8, was found dead.
After receiving reports of a drowning incident in the canal, a search operation was conducted by the Armed Police Force from Duhabi and the headquarters of the Baraha Battalion based in Sunsari, along with the regional disaster management team.
During the search conducted by the disaster management team, the body of Rai, who had drowned in the canal, was discovered.
The district police office in Sunsari has informed that further investigation into the incident is underway, and the body has been sent for autpsy to ascertain the cause of death.
