Partly cloudy skies in Nepal’s hills, clear elsewhere: Weather forecast

KATHMANDU: At present, there is partial influence of western low pressure system and local air in Nepal.
The Department of Water and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Division reports that the current weather in the hilly regions of the country is partly cloudy, with clear conditions prevailing in other areas.
During the afternoon, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear in hilly regions, including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.
There’s a chance of light snowfall in some high hilly and Himalayan areas.
At night, the weather will be partly cloudy overall, with mostly clear skies across the country. There’s a slight possibility of light snowfall in select areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and the high hilly regions of Sudurpaschim State.
Looking ahead to tomorrow (Tuesday), scattered to light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is possible in a few hilly areas.
Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini noted, “There’s a likelihood of rainfall in the hilly areas of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.
