KATHMANDU: Three leaders who attacked RPP leader Thakur Mohan Shrestha have been suspended from the party.

Party President Rajendra Lingden has suspended them from the party for 4 years.

The party’s joint general minister, Prem Balayar, the President of RPP Kathmandu Constituency No. 4, Riddhi Pratap Rana, and the member secretary of the youth organization, Nirajan Bam, have all been suspended.

Action was taken against them based on a report provided by the party’s disciplinary committee.

Shrestha was assaulted on Falgun 27 (March 10), while the Central Performance Committee was convening.

The performance committee issued a 48-hour deadline to the party’s disciplinary committee to investigate and report on individuals who participated in the attack.

According to the Disciplinary Committee’s findings, the RPP took action against them.
