CIB receives high-level probe commission report on gold smuggling

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has obtained the High-Level Probe Commission’s report on Gold Smuggling, according to CIB sources.
Former Justice Diliraj Acharya led the team that prepared the report, which was handed over to the CIB on Sunday.
Previously, the commission presented its findings to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who subsequently submitted it to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
CIB Chief AIG Shyam Lal Gyawali received the report at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Both Prime Minister Dahal and Deputy Prime Minister Lamichhane have affirmed their commitment to taking appropriate action against those found responsible.
The High-Level Commission included Kishor Jung Karki, Prem Raj Joshi, and Sahakul Thapa as its members.
